Important Reminder

  1. The installation of the fiber optic disc should keep the outlet of the fiber optic disc as far away from the propeller as possible, but extra attention should be paid to the balance point of the aircraft’s center of gravity.
  1. The installation of the fiber optic disc should be based on the inclination angle of the aircraft, and the installation bracket should reserve a certain inclination angle (as shown in the figure). The installation angle should be close to the inclination angle, so that the fiber optic cable outlet angle is in a horizontal position.
  1. Special adhesive is used for fiber winding, and the first 200 meters or so is the adhesive coating area. In this area, the flight speed of the aircraft should be controlled within 30km/h or 8m/s to avoid high-speed flight in the adhesive coated area.
  1. The maximum flight speed of the aircraft should be controlled within 120km/h.
  2. Do not let the optical fiber come into contact with water, otherwise it will cause light attenuation and result in a decrease in the quality of optical signal transmission.
Preparation before using fiber optic cable reel:
Preparation before using fiber optic cable reel:
  1. Before using a 5km fiber optic cable reel, be sure to remove the transport protection zip ties and 4 protective buckles.
Note: Directly exiting the fiber optic cable without using a buckle will result in breakage.
  2. Before using the 10km fiber optic reel, it is necessary to cut off the transport protection cable tie and remove the carbon fiber rod.
  3. Before use, the protective shell of the fiber optic outlet FC of the fiber optic cable reel needs to be removed, the fiber head needs to be extracted, and connected to the FC interface of the ground end module. After connection, it is necessary to align the concave and convex parts and tighten the connection head.
  4. Before using the fiber optic FC interface, please clean the fiber optic cable ends with a cleaning pen.
  5. If the light attenuation value is greater than -15dBm, it is not recommended to use it.
Ground wireless connection method one:
  1. According to the “Ground Wireless Connection Method 1” diagram, connect the Opticalink SKY Sky GH1.25 cable to the flight controller.
  2. Connect the Opticalink GBD ground end GH1.25 line to the receiver and image transmission.
  3. Fix the OpticalinkSKY sky end and fiber optic disc, and pay attention to keeping the fiber optic outlet as far away as possible from the drone propeller to avoid entanglement accidents.
  4. Connect the fiber optic harness and connect the FC dedicated interfaces at both ends of the fiber optic disc to the OpticalinkSKY sky end FC interface and the Opticalink GBD ground end FC interface, paying attention to the possibility of the mouth end being connected to the ground. (As shown in Figure 1)
  5. Fully charge the Opticalink GBD ground end dedicated battery and insert it into the ground end interface. (As shown in Figure 2)
  6. Finally, turn on the power switch
Ground end wired connection method 2:
  1. According to the “Ground Wireless Connection Method 2” diagram, connect the OpticalinkSKY Sky GH1.25 cable to the flight controller.
  2. Connect the Opticalink GBD ground end GH1.25 cable directly to the remote control. Note that not all remote controls are compatible with wired connections. Choose a remote control with PPM output.
  3. Fix the Opticalink SKY sky end module and fiber optic disc, and pay attention to keeping the fiber optic outlet as far away as possible from the drone propeller to avoid entanglement accidents.
  4. Connect the fiber optic harness and connect the FC dedicated interfaces at both ends of the fiber optic disc to the OpticalinkSKY sky end FC interface and the OpticalinkGBD ground end FC interface, paying attention to the possibility of the mouth end being connected to the ground. (As shown in Figure 1)
  5. Fully charge the Opticalink GBD ground end dedicated battery and insert it into the ground end interface. (As shown in Figure 2)
  6. Finally, turn on the power switch
precautions:
  1. The input voltage of 11.1-26V is within the safe range. Do not exceed or fall below the limit voltage, and avoid reversing the positive and negative poles.
  2. Avoid bending and twisting the fiber optic cable to prevent it from being cut by sharp objects and causing fiber breakage.
  3. Pay attention to protecting the fiber optic connectors and FC interfaces to avoid dust, oil, and water stains. When storing, be sure to cover the interface with a protective cover and tighten it tightly.
  4. Store in a cool, dry, and dark area.
  5. The fiber optic disc has a precise structure, can be handled with care, and stored upright.
